Aloha Investors!
Hello! I hope everyone is enjoying their week. I am excited to watch the Olympics this weekend up until the end on August 11th.
There has not been anything too exciting in the stock market. There have been a lot of political things going on that I do not like to mention in my blogs or in general. Anything that involves politics always ends up in an argument due to people having their own opinions about things, so we will not get into politics. The tech stocks have not been doing well in recent weeks, but that only means you buy more since you are getting the stock at a bargain. I have thirty more shares of Apple to purchase before I move on to other bargain stocks. My current goals have not changed since I know these companies will only go up because of consumers buying things they do not need. A prime example is prime day deals. Not many people sit down and ask themselves if they really need these items. The nature of shopping and buying expensive things only creates dopamine that all these big-name companies base their marketing on. If you have not noticed when you shop on Amazon, they are always promoting deals or letting you know the items in your cart are cheaper than when you put it in your cart? Don’t you wonder why they have items next to you when you are in the checkout line? It is to get you to purchase more items on the way out that you do not need. This is why Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Tesla and all these big-name companies will always make profits each year. My advice to anyone is to invest in the companies you spend your money on.
This paycheck I could only purchase two shares of Apple because of the increase in the stock. I was really hoping to purchase three shares this week, but I came up a little short of another share. I also purchased one share of VOO due to not having enough last paycheck to purchase a share. I am hoping to contribute more into my individual stock account to complete my Apple goal this year.
Until next time…Have a great weekend and remember it is never too late to start investing!
